All other features, at least those displayed on the plan selection page on Netflix, match the Premium plan (meaning you get HD and Ultra HD, and access on four screens).

Netflix could be adding a new tier to its service which would be more expensive than all of its current offerings, according to a report from Italian blog TuttoAndroid. This plan will reportedly cost €16.99 in Italy. In a move that would surely cause anger, some users noted that the Premium plan's number of screens had been reduced to just two. "Not everyone will see this test and we may not ever offer the specific price points or features included in this test".

Some Italian consumers say that based on promotional material they've received from the video streamer, the new Netflix lineup reduces the number of screens that can stream Netflix simultaneously with the Premium plan from 4 to 2 (see image at the top of this article). Currently, the company offers three different tiers, starting at $7.99 per month and maxing out at $13.99.

Netflix is considering introducing a new and more expensive ‘Ultra plan that would be required to stream content in HDR video quality, according to CNET. Basic gives you access to SD resolution, Standard gives you access to HD resolution, and Premium covers 4K resolution and HDR.

"We continuously test new things at Netflix and these tests typically vary in length of time", a Netflix spokesperson told BGR in a statement. Some people may want to pay slightly more each month for HDR content though, and that's exactly why Netflix is running its current test. That may sound exciting, but there's a downside: other plans might be losing screens, making this new pricing structure a sort of price hike in disguise. Its website says the company may need to adjust prices to "respond to local market changes" such as taxes or inflation.

So what more do you get for this extra money?
