  • Trump Seeks Recovery of US Military Remains in North Korea

A comment made by President Donald Trump in the passing during a press conference, following the historic summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on Monday, left South Korea's department of defense disheveled.

"I think President Trump was a little too generous to Xi Jinping because over the last three months we have seen blatant sanctions violations by China", he told Maria Bartiromo on "Mornings with Maria".

Trump, in a press conference Tuesday after the summit, said he would like to withdraw USA troops from South Korea "at some point" - but not now. "South Korea joint military exercises, which Pyongyang regards as provocation", and would "offer security guarantees to the DPRK", the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. "But that's not part of the equation right now", Trump said.

"Kim Jong Un and Trump had the shared recognition to the effect that it is important to abide by the principle of step-by-step and simultaneous action in achieving peace, stability and denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula", it added.

The straight-faced Prime Minister replied grumpily: "Well, there are no American troops in North Korea". Its state-run newspaper Rodong Sinmun said Wednesday that Trump "expressed his intention to halt US-South Korea joint military exercise" - a major concession won from Trump but not included in the summit agreement.

Pyongyang has long viewed the military exercises as a rehearsal for an invasion of the North.

He said that though he asked at the last minute, Kim agreed "so quickly" and was "so nice" about it: "He understands it". The statement made clear that Pyongyang was expecting US concessions before any moves by the North.

Meanwhile at a separate briefing yesterday, foreign ministry spokesman Geng Shuang suggested that the U.N. Security Council should consider lifting sanctions against North Korea, China's closest trade partner.

"Shared objectives to denuclearize and an agreement to continue the negotiations". About 37,000 United States troops died, with 5,300 still unaccounted for in North Korea. According to USA forces in South Korea, they're still on until an order to cancel has been issued.

"The way President Trump, the way he's going now, I think the North Koreans will take advantage of the USA government and the South Korean government, and they want the money....they want us to bail out themselves". I said it, since when?

Kim said that human rights abuses in North Korea are "so widespread and pervasive that it is hard to pick just one" to focus on in future talks between Washington and Pyongyang, but suggested that the country's gulag system is "at the core" of violations.

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) added that Trump expressed his intention to suspend all joint military drills between South Korea and the USA while talks are under way between Pyongyang and Washington.
