And why wouldn't it be, considering the subject is the halo auto of halo cars, the Bugatti Chiron. Set 75878: Bugatti Chiron is much smaller at 180 pieces and does not use Technic.

The model encapsulates the magic, power and elegance of the Chiron, unveiled to the world two years ago and now brought to life in LEGO Technic™ form, offering a unique, authentic building experience for auto enthusiasts and LEGO fans of all ages.

The Lego Technic Bugatti Chiron goes on sale today at the toy company's brick-and-mortar and online stores for CAD$399.99, and will be available at all other authorized retailers from August 1.

LEGO developed this kit in partnership with Bugatti, ensuring that all of the details were could be represented perfectly by pieces from LEGO's endless inventory.

Time was when Lego bricks were good for constructing model buildings, clumsy little aeroplanes, lumpy-looking pirate ships and not much else.

Lego delivers the Technic Chiron kit with a coffee table-type instruction book, and has prepared a series of podcasts with Bugatti and Lego experts. "I am impressed at the precision and refinement with which our super sports vehicle has been translated into the Lego world". In order to make the model as accurate as you'd expect from a Lego Technic branded kit, the Bugatti Chiron boasts 3,599 pieces. The details include an active rear wing and spoked rims with low-profile tyres, while the W16 engine in the back has moving pistons.

It comes finished in the Chiron's launch colours - the dual-tone blue colour scheme - and a set of stickers to complete the badging and designation.

It's about as desirable, in Lego terms, as the Chiron is to vehicle enthusiasts. The Speed Key can also be used to adjust the rear spoiler. The doors on the model also open up to a highly meticulous cockpit with working paddle shifters and a working steering wheel bearing the iconic Bugatti emblem.
