The police report states that Krista's husband Lucas attempted to stop deputies from arresting his wife by changing his witness statement.

She started an altercation with him that day, according to the report, and she started it after allegedly drinking all day and in front of their kids and his mother, the document said.

The golfer told deputies his wife attacked him, and later his mother, on the porch after tucking the children into bed. The report says both of her arms had lacerations and she was struck in the chest.

He told police that his wife berates him "every time he plays poorly in a tournament", calling him a "loser" and a "p***y", according to a police report.

Krista was not co-operating with the arrest and apparently attempted to wrap her legs around the police vehicle door and was then kicking the door once in the auto.

The 36-year-old is due back in court on May 31 to face charges of domestic violence battery and resisting arrest.

In the 911 audio, Krista Glover calls the police and states that her mother-in-law assaulted her.

Per the police report, Glover's mother said that Krista has a history of verbally attacking him when he plays poorly during a tournament, and Glover had just come off a awful third round, shooting 78 on Saturday to miss the final cut.

Lucas Glover tweeted a statement on Tuesday, reading: "On May 12, my wife and mother were involved in an argument to which the police were called".

And since he had a bad day live on national television alongside the likes of Tiger Woods, Dustin Johnson and Justin Rose, she allegedly went off on him when he got home.

According to the report, Glover's wife fought against being put into the back seat of a patrol auto and damaged the door by repeatedly kicking it.

"This is why cops get shot in the face", she told deputies.

"Everyone is fine", Glover said on Twitter, trying to play down the situation. "Wait til I talk to the judge ... you will be (expletive) fired".

"We are aware of the situation, and Lucas informed us of his statement, which has since been posted to his Twitter account." the Tour said in a statement.

The couple are married and have two children. A native of Greenville, S.C., and a former all-American at Clemson, Glover first made the Tour in 2004, has twice competed in the Presidents Cup, has career earnings of more than $20 million and is now 104th in the world golf rankings.
