"Thank you everyone for your concern and kind messages". Unfortunately I had a reaction to an increased dosage in Lithium which I take for me Bipolar disorder.

The post is briefly visible on Manziel's Instagram account, but is not sharable.

According to TMZ Sports, the former Texas A&M quarterback was hospitalized Monday in Humble after having a reaction to medication. Manziel stayed in the area to attend the JMBLYA concert with friends. 'It seems like he had a reaction to an adjustment in his prescription.

This is a little setback but it shouldn't derail Manziel from his quest to get his football career back in order as the CFL is an option as he has a standing offer from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Manziel revealed in February he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and was taking medication to help him out.

Manziel - who hasn't taken an NFL snap since the 2015 season with the Cleveland Browns - has been putting his skills on display for NFL scouts and team executives this offseason, in hopes of returning to the league. His partying ways and lackluster performance led to his being released, and he is now a free agent playing in the Spring League, where he has so far been impressing scouts and team officials.
