  • Lyon deny Liverpool talks amid claims of £62m deal for Nabil Fekir

Jurgen Klopp has responded to reports claiming Liverpool are interest in signing French attackers Nabil Fekir and Ousmane Dembele.

He has, however, made 20 appearances in all competitions and shown his considerable talent whenever he has been given the opportunity by Ernesto Valverde, as well as scoring an important goal against Chelsea in the Champions League.

"Liverpool are concretely positioned to [sign] Ousmane Dembele", the report boldly claims.

Interestingly, former Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier has been involved in the deal, having become an adviser to Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas.

"I would be surprised about that, to be honest".

"But no comment. What was the second name? Oh!"

Fekir has scored 17 times in Ligue 1 this season, and laid on a further seven assists, though has himself played down suggestions of an imminent move.

While the Reds were in Premier League action against Chelsea on Sunday, reports in France emerged suggesting that a deal had been done for Fekir.

"We have had no contact with Liverpool today", he said. Nabil Fekir is here.

The 24-year-old was said to have already settled on a five-year contract with the Champions League finalists and the deal is also likely to involve Yassin Fekir following his older brother to England.

Reacting to the Chelsea game, Klopp added: "I hate the result but the performance was good enough to get a good point".

"We had these moments towards the end, and these high balls into the box where we were a little bit unlucky".

"If that is the case [that he is joining] we would be really happy to have him at our home", Mane continued.
