The issue surfaced with the iOS 11.3 update that was released last month.

Just yesterday Apple released iOS 11.3.1 to address an issue with non-responsive touchscreens for those who tried installing third party displays.

If you replaced your iPhone 8 display recently through a third party using non-genuine or non-OEM parts, you might have gotten a surprise when you updated to iOS 11.3; the touch screen stopped working or did not respond accurately.

As per some reports from the web, the updated iOS version 11.3.1 fixes the unresponsive touch screen issue which the users experienced with third-party screen replacements. "It's very easy to go down the rabbit hole of thinking that Apple is trying to make it JUST inconvenient enough to even consider third-party fix a reliable option".

Apple released iOS 11.3.1 on Tuesday. Besides the iOS devices, Apple has also rolled out macOS 10.13.4 update for MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and iMacs, which includes bug fixes and performance improvements. The bug wasn't revealed officially, but some affected users reported its existence weeks after the release of the update.

That's basically it for iOS 11.3.1. The vulnerability so addressed by this update had allowed an application to have greater privileges which would have proved fatal if an attacker could gain access to it and got control of the MAC desktop when left unpatched.

Apple is reportedly gearing up to introduce three new iPhones in 2018 and one of them will be more popular than the others, according to Kuo. The issue mostly existed in the manner Link Presentation handled URLs and it has been done away with by improved input validation.
