The Gunners are 14 points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League and are now left battling for silverware on just one front.

Before the first semi-final with Atletico Madrid, they face West Ham in the Premier League but enjoyed some down time before Sunday's clash.

West Ham have previously met Arsenal twice this season, with the only goal in 180 minutes being scored by Danny Welbeck in December's 1-0 Carabao Cup defeat at The Emirates. We are in a position now where we must win all our remaining games and hope it lifts us in the table.

"It is important that now we have a big opponent to beat them. Honestly, I didn't see him there in the corner of my eye even though in the video it looks like I did", Ritchie told TalkSport. I think he will make that decision before the end of the season. My worry is to transform a season with many disappointments away from home into success'. It's away from home that we failed. Of course you try to address that, but clearly, the same things are happening. "Atletico Madrid are seen as the favourite to win the competition but I believe, at our best, we can beat them".

"The atmosphere is much better when people stand".

On Guardiola, Wenger said, "I don't know, Guardiola certainly, and Sean Dyche have been above everyone else".

"I wasn't 100 percent sure about him when I came here as there were some Lyon players I didn't get on well with - but he wasn't someone I had problems with when I played against them".

With that in mind, Wenger is already planning for the visit of Atleti to the Emirates Stadium, telling a news conference: "I would say this weekend is a preparation for Thursday". He is an exceptional football player and it is very sad what happened to him.
