Comey: Trump asked me to investigate 'pee tape' to reassure Melania

Mike Huckabee, the former Arkansas governor and prominent Trump ally, told Fox News that Comey is "hawking a book" to make money, not to get "to the heart of the truth". But I think, ultimately, he's going to help Trump.

President Donald Trump's Republican allies have orchestrated a sweeping campaign to paint former FBI Director James Comey as a liar, opportunist, and political operative before he releases his widely anticipated memoir on Tuesday.

The longtime lawman writes that Kelly was "sick" about the situation and "intended to quit" in protest.

Following his departure, Comey told the Senate Intelligence committee that the President had demanded his loyalty, pressed him to drop a probe into ex-national security adviser Michael Flynn and repeatedly pressured him to publicly declare that he was not under investigation.

The Kelly scene was first reported Thursday by The Daily Beast and confirmed to The Washington Post by someone who has read Comey's book. Many Democrats, meanwhile, are hopeful that new revelations will further bolster a case for the president's impeachment.

None of the answers were revealed in the clip but Comey's first major interview following his dismissal by Trump almost a year ago could very well lead to another Twitter outburst from the president against Comey.

Lyincomey.com focuses on the last point, in particular, featuring quotes from prominent Democrats in 2016 - including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi - that explicitly questioned Comey's credibility and suggested he step down as Federal Bureau of Investigation director.

"I've been around politics a long time, and I know fear when I see it, " said Jim Manley, a lobbyist and former senior aide to former Senate minority leader Harry Reid. "The party of law and order has become the party of trying to protect Trump at all costs".

It will be updated as Comey's book and interviews roll out, according to an RNC official.

The conversation took place during the same private dinner on January 27, 2017, where Comey has claimed the president demanded "loyalty" - and just days after the publication of an intelligence dossier alleging that the Kremlin had a tape of Trump paying prostitutes to perform the dirty deed on a bed once occupied by President Obama.

"Mr. President, the American people will hear my story very soon". "And they can judge for themselves who is honorable and who is not".
