  • Black Panther to become the first movie to release in a theater, after 35 years, in Saudi Arabia!

"Titanic" previously held the No. 3 spot on the best grossing movies list.

"Black Panther" has hit a huge milestone and it proves just how strong Disney is at the box office. This weekend the film passed director James Cameron's "Titanic" becoming the third highest-grossing USA film of all time.

"Black Panther", which stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o is the 18th film in the superhero movie franchise dubbed the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Worldwide, Black Panther has earned a whopping $1.29 billion and now stands as the tenth highest grossing film at the global box office.

Marvel's "Black Panther" is still clawing its way into the record books.

The success of "Black Panther" is more impressive, considering it opened February 15. It was Cameron's own Avatar that finally bested the box office record in 2009, and then Star Wars: The Force Awakens stole the title in 2015.

'Deep down we all hoped that people would come to see a film about a fictional country on the continent of Africa, made up of a cast of people of African descent, ' he said. The Ryan Coogler-directed film earned $8.4 million at the box office over the three-day weekend.

Last month, the film, set in the land of Wakanda, edged out The Avengers ($624 million) in establishing itself as highest-grossing superhero film ever.

Black Panther will be screen in 600-seat cinema in in Riyadh's King Abdullah Financial District.
