Rumored as one of the organization's who's been interested in the former Heisman Trophy victor, Bill Belichick's football dynasty is back at it as according to Kevin Guregian of the Boston Herald, the Pats met with free agent Johnny Manziel both before and after his work at Texas A&M's Pro Day on Tuesday.

The New England Patriots were among the teams who went to Johnny Manziel's pro day at Texas A&M.

Johnny Manziel says he would back up New England's Tom Brady in a heartbeat. Overall, 21 teams passed on Manziel on draft day in 2014 until the Cleveland Browns used their second first round pick to choose Manziel to become their new starting quarterback.

Manziel played nine games with the Browns in two seasons, passing for 1,675 yards with seven touchdowns and seven interceptions.

"According to a source, the Patriots spoke with Manziel both before the workout, as well as after the session".

Former Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Johnny Manziel will make his debut in the developmental Spring League on April 7. If Manziel looks better than he did when he came out of college the Patriots may be a great fit for him.

Manziel reportedly has an offer from the Canadian Football League and would play up north if he doesn't receive an offer from an NFL team.

That is the big deal here.

For now, Manziel should continue to show he's serious about trying to return to the NFL.

"It took me awhile to really overcome that and get to where I was comfortable with it, but once I did, I started seeing an improvement in all aspects of my life", Manziel said of his previous problems.

Manziel was not the only player working out at Texas A&M's pro day, as wide receiver Christian Kirk was among the other players who participated in the workout.
