Isco offers Arsenal & Man City hope by questioning Real Madrid 'faith'

"I do not have the confidence that a footballer needs [at Madrid], maybe the problem is me that I did not know how to win Zidane's confidence".

Real Madrid have lost out in their hope of signing Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea after both players gave a clear indication on their futures at Stamford Bridge.

Clearly unhappy with his role at the Bernabeu, the hat trick hero of Spain's 6-1 win over Argentina claimed his performances are down to a lack of confidence while at his club.

Isco has recently been linked with a move to Manchester City, with Pep Guardiola a huge fan of the playmaker and Isco keen to play under the Catalan coach, while Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho have also been credited with an interest.

"I have the confidence of the coach and maybe in Madrid, I have not won that yet", he told reporters after the match.

Isco signed a five-year contract with Real in September last year but there would be no shortage of suitors should he decide his future lies elsewhere.

"I want to show that I'm a good player". The Spanish champions are in the process of preparing a massive change of players at the club including shot-stopper, Costa Rican Keylor Navas, who has conceded some silly goals during this term. "Otherwise, I'll have to take legal action".

Isco has scored seven goals and registered as many assists in 40 games across all competitions this season.

Argentina coach Jorge Sampaoli said Messi's absence was due to fatigue. They made life hard for us and were very aggressive, he said.

With the summer World Cup inching closer and closer by the day, the tournament would be a ideal opportunity to prove to the world that Zidane's lack of faith is completely unwarranted, and a mega money move could well be in the offing.
