Larry Nassar is a convinced serial child molester who was the USA Gymnastics national team doctor and an osteopathic physician at Michigan State University.

It's expected Strampel will be arraigned on these charges in Ingham County on Tuesday afternoon.

It's unclear what the charges against Strampel are, but sources told the Detroit Free Press that he is facing at least one felony.

His computer contained approximately 50 photos of female genitalia, nude and semi-nude women, sex toys and pornography.

A student at the College of Osteopathic Medicine accused William Strampel, 70, of forcible sexual contact, prosecutors said in papers filed in state district court in East Lansing.

"I am happy to have you back in full practice", Strampel told Nassar in an email.

Nassar, meanwhile will spend his life in prison for molesting patients under the guise of treatment, in a scandal that has shaken the USA Gymnastics program.

Nassar is now serving his 60-year federal prison sentenced in United States Penitentiary Tucson in Tucson, Arizona, which is a maximum-security federal prison that offers a sex offender program for sex offenders such as Nassar.

Lawyers for Nassar victims suing MSU say that at least 20 women were sexually abused by Nassar between the filing of the 2014 complaint and when Nassar was sacked in September 2016.

A lawyer representing more than 150 Nassar survivors praised the MI attorney general for the arrest of Mr Strampel.

A representative from the Ingham Sheriffs Department told TIME that Strampel's arraignment will occur sometime Tuesday. In February, the school moved to fire Strampel, saying he failed to enforce guidelines created for Nassar after complaints of sexual misconduct.

"And we're seeing that right now in the news with this Nassar stuff", Strampel reportedly said in a 2016 meeting, a written account of which was obtained by the Journal. MSU's new interim president then announced he was moving to revoke Strampel's tenure, which would allow him to be terminated. About 200 victims gave statements in two courtrooms over the 10 day of proceedings earlier this year before the disgraced doctor was sentenced.

In a previous statement, Engler has said that Strampel did not act with the level of professionalism we expect from individuals who hold senior leadership positions, particularly in a position that involves student and patient safety.

In February, Nassar was sentenced to between an additional 40 and 125 years in state prison on three more counts of sexual assault in an Eaton County, Michigan courtroom.

One of the former Michigan State medical students described in the complaint - Nicole Eastman, a 2010 graduate of the school - said in a phone interview Tuesday that Strampel's abusive behavior "was accepted and normalized".
