In its sixth weekend, Disney and Marvel's Black Panther banked another $16.7 million for a domestic total of $630.9 million, becoming the top-grossing superhero film of all time in North America and the No. 5 title of all time, unadjusted for inflation.

"Pacific Rim Uprising" took the tide with just over $28 million at the box office this weekend. In foreign territories, where the original "Pacific Rim" was more popular than in the USA, the sequel is expected to collect around $122.5 million this weekend, with $65 million coming from China market.

"Pacific Rim Uprising" stars John Boyega, Cailee Spaeny and Scott Eastwood.

After five strong weeks atop the box office charts, the record-setting run of "Black Panther" has finally been brought down.

The animated film "Sherlock Gnomes" opened with $10.6 million for fourth place. Black Panther has earned $1.2 billion worldwide according to Digital Spy. "Black Panther" was written and directed by Ryan Coogler, the film stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Martin Freeman, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis. The superhero film has now made more than $690 million domestically. The movie was given a $150 million budget by the teams at Legendary Pictures and Universal, and $28 million can't be the number they were hoping to see after three days.

However, Tomb Raider is popular overseas and China is again a contributing big factor.

In at third for a second week was low-budget, faith-based drama "I Can Only Imagine", which amassed $13.6 million. However, thanks to a very strong global performance, the film went on to become a success and ultimately warranted a sequel, which hit theaters this weekend.

Falling from second last week to fifth this time around was "Tomb Raider", a Warner Bros. adventure reboot starring Swedish actress Alicia Vikander as the fearless and ferocious Lara Croft. It is now the 12th highest-grossing motion picture of all time. The movie has become the highest-grossing superhero movie in the USA, not adjusted for inflation.

Following I Can Only Imagine's success, biblical drama Paul, Apostle of Christ opened in line with estimates with US$5 million at 1,473 sites over Palm Sunday weekend.

Steven Soderbergh's new iPhone-shot thriller 'Unsane' debuted one slot outside the Top 10. The film presents itself as a main event push for its star John Boyega.

Fox Searchlight opened Wes Anderson's second animated feature Isle of Dogs into just 27 theaters where it grossed an astounding $1.6 million, enough for a 15th place opening with $58,148 per location, the best per-theater average of 2018 so far.
