On a relatable note, Kuo also has it on the mind that sales of Apple Pencil could double up very well in the current year, jumping from approximately 4.5 million in unit sales last year to upwards of 10 million in sales in the current year.

Apple has an education event next week that it doesn't plan to stream.

Apple first began manufacturing iPhone SE units in India a year ago in an effort to expand its global reach.

The Apple March 27 event was announced just a little while ago with an invitation reading "Join us to hear creative new ideas for teachers and students..." It also lets students complete assignments and take tests. It's also a rare occasion for an Apple confab outside its home state of California. The event is said to focus on education and there is some chance we can see some new Apple products including new iPad and iPad Pro.

Apple is said to be launching a new iPad device next week. This isn't the first we've heard of this, either.

If the report turns out to be legit, then the new 9.7-inch iPad might cost around $259 making it $70 cheaper than the most affordable one that exists now. Expect a new processor, and perhaps a camera update as well. One area that mobile devices do fall short, however, is with the keyboard.

Foldable phones haven't gone much further than the concept stage at this point, but you can bet Apple will be there when they do arrive. It's safe to assume that multiple cheap models of the iPad will appear with Pencil support. This would be a change of pace for Apple who typically announces new products at scheduled events like WWDC or at their iPhone event in the later part of the year.

While there's no doubt that Apple devices are capable of handling classroom needs, the fact remains that the devices are often viewed as a luxury rather than a necessity. It's not out of the realm of possibility for the new iPad to debut at $299, which is a price that the iPad can frequently be found at when on sale (or even lower if retailers are feeling especially frisky). Although the laptop is popular with college students, it has languished as Apple focuses on more expensive Macs.
