  • IT minister Ravi Shankar Prasad wants to know how many times did Congress president Rahul Gandhi meet Cambridge Analytica’s now sacked CEO mAlexander Nix

The BJP today slammed Congress president Rahul Gandhi for his jibe at Prime Minister on reports that user information on the "Narendra Modi App" was being leaked to American companies and encouraged Congress chief to doawnload the App.

"Do you think the Prime Minister of India is going to transfer the data to a private company in US?"

"We all know that Rahul Gandhi is no match for Narendra Modi".

This row has triggered a war of words between the BJP and the main Opposition Congress party who have traded barbs at each other for having links with the data company, the Facebook associate under the scanner.

The development comes after revelations about Cambridge Analytica scandal causing allegations and counter allegations between the BJP and Congress. It also said the data is used only for analytics using third party service, similar to Google Analytics.

The BJP claimed Facebook data has been misused not just in the U.S. elections in favour of Donald Trump, but also by the Congress in last year's assembly elections in Gujarat. The Congress had challenged the decision in the High Court, accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of misusing its power. "The person does not have access to any data apart from his own data", sources in the government claimed. Anderson has also exposed the flaws in Aadhaar, although UIDAI has repeatedly denied his claims.

After targeting the Centre over pending court cases, Congress president Rahul Gandhi has now hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the appointment of judges to Supreme Court and High Courts.

"But the government of India, which is your government, asks you your name and address, nothing more, there is a massive revolution in the country saying it is an intrusion into the privacy of the individual', he had said".

Anderson had tweeted, "When you create a profile in the official @narendramodi #Android app, all your device info (OS, network type, Carrier ...) and personal data (email, photo, gender, name, ...) are sent without your consent to a third-party domain called http://in.wzrkt.com ".

"In the tweet, he also attached a news story titled, ?Data theft allegations reaches PM Modis doorstep, French vigilante hackers stunning revelation".
