  • Little Caesars Has To Give Away A Lot Of Free Pizza After UMBC's Massive Upset Of Virginia In NCAA Tournament

When all was said and done, the biggest upset in March Madness history happened and it is going to cost Little Caesars Pizza.

It consists of a personal pizza and pop. The University of Maryland-Baltimore County went into Friday night's game as a number 16 seed facing off against the number one-seeded Virginia Cavaliers.

But the Cavs' loss is all of our gain, because now we all get free pizza.

Insane did happen Friday when the University of Maryland-Baltimore County beat Virginia, making NCAA history as the first No. 16 seed to ever beat a No. 1 seed.

The chain will give away a free pizza combo to anyone who comes in between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. on April 2.

Despite the heartbreak of a broken bracket, Little Caesars hopes UVA fans can muster up an appetite for some humble pie. The free pizza itself includes four slices of deep dish, as well as a 20-ounce bottle of soda.

March Madness often serves as a a time for businesses, restaurants and bars to offer deals and promotions. It was the first time a 16 seed ever defeated a 1 seed.
