  • Apple has confirmed its WWDC developer conference will be held June 4th- 8th 2018

It'll be held in San Jose, California like a year ago, and will run from June 4-8. It will be held in San Jose, California, at the McEnery Convention Center. By and large though, the move was well-received by developers and easier for Apple engineers due to the venue's proximity to Cupertino, so it's not surprising to see WWDC return to San Jose for 2018. It's the second year in a row that Apple has used the facility; in previous years, the event had been staged in San Francisco.

WWDC 2018 will be held at the McEnery Convention Center, the same location as previous year. Every year at WWDC, Apple developers get an insight of what the company is working on while getting the opportunity to share their experiences with others. The company sometimes also unveils new hardware at the event.

The random lottery ticket process for developers will launches today and ends on March 22 at 10AM PDT/1PM EDT, with winners notified by March 23 at 5PM PDT/8PM PDT.

Although Apple didn't outline exactly what it plans to cover, the conference in past years has served to showcase the company's next major software releases including iOS, macOS and watchOS. For this year, Apple is working on new augmented-reality features for iPhones and iPads, a tool for parents to monitor their kids' device usage, new Animojis, an improved version of Do Not Disturb, an updated stock tracking app, and deeper Siri integration, people familiar with the matter have told Bloomberg. As always, you'll need to be a pre-existing member of the Apple Developer Program or the Apple Developer Enterprise Program to participate.
