The queen is the head of the Commonwealth, which consists of 53 independent countries, some of which used to be ruled by the British Empire.

The next big event for the family will be Harry and Meghan's wedding in May.

This isn't the first time that Markle has spent time with the queen, since she attended the Christmas Day festivities with the royal family in December.

Both the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were in attendance as well as Queen Elizabeth II and other members of the royal family. She was the first to do so who wasn't already married into the family.

Prince Harry, who is fifth in line to the throne, is to marry Markle on May 19 at St. George's Chapel, a 15th-century church on the grounds of Windsor Castle.

"We all have reason to give thanks for the numerous ways in which our lives are enriched when we learn from others".

"There is a very special value in the insights we gain through the Commonwealth connection; shared inheritances help us overcome difference so that diversity is a cause for celebration rather than division".

The Dean of Westminster, the reverend Dr John Hall, conducted the service and spoke about the uniting the Commonwealth for the future.

A former SAS officer told the Daily Express the training will have "petrified" Markle even though she knew "the enemy was not real".

Meghan was seen singing along to the national anthem, "God Save the Queen", as the service began - Watch below!

Along with Prince Harry, she walked down the line of students and introduced herself to them, saying, "Hi, I'm Meghan".

Kate, who is expecting her and Prince William's third child, spiced up her maternity-wear in a Beulah London coat that matched the slimline navy dress her future sister-in-law was wearing under her Amanda Wakeley jacket.
