The first full trailer's arrived for Netflix's sci-fi series, Lost in Space.

Lost in Space follows the Robinsons, a near-future family who leave earth in search of another world to colonize-much like Netflix is colonizing the market on unremarkable high-concept sci-fi. A TV series gives the characters room to organically evolve and the IP's background storyline room to breath (exploring new worlds, possible universes, etc.).

Watch the gorgeous trailer above, and tell us what you think.

We still don't know a lot of the details, but based on the trailer, the series looks awesome!

The 1965 original series followed the Robinson family, who are selected by the USA government to colonize a planet of the nearby Alpha Centauri system.

Before Star Wars, before Star Trek, before Marvel Comics got really rolling there was Lost in Space, and it was awesome.

In the 60s series, the classic "Danger Will Robinson" catchphrase was delivered by the Robinsons' helpful robot companion.

The 10-episode series, slated for a 2018 premiere, hails from Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless (Dracula Untold, Last Witch Hunter), with Zack Estrin (Prison Break) serving as showrunner.

Stranded along with the Robinsons are two outsiders who find themselves thrown together by circumstance and a mutual knack for deception.

They took their sweet time, but Netflix has finally found the final piece of the Lost in Space remake casting puzzle and completed the main cast. The unsettlingly charismatic Dr. Smith played by Parker Posey is a master manipulator with an inscrutable end game. "And the roguish, but inadvertently charming Don West (Ignacio Serricchio) is a highly-skilled, blue collar contractor, who had no intention of joining the colony, let alone crash landing on a lost planet".
