  • Burnout Paradise Remastered detailed and dated for Xbox One and PS4!

The new title, appropriately called Burnout Paradise Remastered, is slated to arrive on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next month.

“When people think of Criterion Games, they often remember the Burnout franchise and for good reason.

Everyone has their favorite game in the long and storied Burnout series, but for me, it's definitely Burnout Paradise. Featuring a range of technical enhancements for greater visual fidelity and authenticity, it plays natively in 1080p on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and in 4K at 60fps on the PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X.

Burnout offered a ideal blend of slick racing and spectacular vehicle crashes, so when I heard the rumour that Burnout Paradise (arguably the best entry in the series) was headed to PS4 in March, I began to get excited.

EA Access members will also get to play Burnout Paradise Remastered before its worldwide launch, starting on 9 March via the Play First Trial.

Burnout Paradise Remastered will release on March 16th, 2018, for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Hopefully, though, the release of Burnout Paradise Remastered will set the stage for another installment to come. The original game did also have backward compatibility on Xbox One. It's been a quite a while since we've heard anything in regards to a new entry to the series, with Criterion Games having confirmed a couple of years ago that no new entries were in the works at the time. Although the remaster is coming first to consoles, both digitally and at retail, EA said it will later release a Windows PC version exclusively in its Origin store. This means that the Big Surf Island expansion that never released on the PC version will finally be available to fans on the platform.
