Solo: A Star Wars Story is now in post-production, but earlier this month, Spider-Man: Homecoming actor Favreau shared a photo of himself on Twitter with Howard and Star Wars screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan.

In the wake of the departure of directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller from the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story, Lucasfilm hired director Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind, The Da Vinci Code) to take their place.

We're only a few months away from a new Star Wars film hitting theaters and that means there are some new toys getting ready to make their way onto shelves soon. iO9 has released the first look at Hasbro's Black Series line of figures for the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story.

As Howard noted, Favreau is directing a photo-realistic CGI remake of the animated Disney film from 1994, scheduled for release on July 19, 2019.

"He retweeted Jon's post - which was simply captioned "#starwars #solo" - and wrote: "Wondering why we r all together?

What important alien character do you think Favreau will be voicing?

For Han, some aspects of his Solo outfit are rather familiar, while others we're seeing for the first time. "Zero chance. But thanks for asking".

So, seeing it shiny and with a fresh coat of paint in Solo: A Star Wars Story should be what it looks like in its prime, right? However, a voiceover part would not have really worked out in a Star Wars movie, so it's good that we don't have to worry about that.

No further details about his alien character have been revealed, but Solo: A Star Wars Story will explore the background of the titular character, who was made famous in the sci-fi franchise by Harrison Ford.

For Solo, Favreau joins Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Joonas Suotomo as Chewbacca, Donald Glover as young Lando Calrissian, Woody Harrelson as Tobias Beckett, Emilia Clarke as Qi'ra, Thandie Newton as Val, Phoebe Waller-Bridge as L3-37, Paul Bettany as Dryden Vos, and Harley Durst as Moloch.
