North Korea Says US Considering Limited Preemptive Strike

  • GETTYTrump vowed to'destroy Kim Jong-un's regime

Nuclear-armed North Korea unleashed a raft of insults and threats against the USA and its leader on Tuesday, calling Donald Trump "dolt-like" and comparing recent reports of a possible "bloody nose" limited strike against Pyongyang to the run-up to the Iraq War. "For example, the assertion that nuclear weapons have a role in deterring significant non-nuclear attacks reverses the prior statement that the USA will not use nuclear weapons to deter chemical or conventional attacks".

"The doctrine accused North Korea of "[the] illicit pursuit of nuclear weapons and missile capabilities in direct violation of United Nations (UN) Security Council resolutions" and claimed that Iran "retains the technological capability and much of the capacity necessary to develop a nuclear weapon within one year of a decision to do so".

It is time to retire our Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs).

North Korea accused the U.S. of seeking to aggravate the situation on the divided Korean peninsula by "deploying large nuclear assets" nearby and laying the ground for a possible pre-emptive strike against it.

" US officials, including Defense Secretary and the CIA Director repeatedly talked about the DPRK nuclear and missile threat to justify their argument for military option and a new concept of so-called "bloody nose" limited pre-emptive strike on the DPRK is under consideration within the USA administration".

"U.S. officials including the defence secretary and the Central Intelligence Agency director repeatedly talked about DPRK nuclear and missile threat to justify their argument for a military option and a new concept of a so-called 'bloody nose, ' a limited pre-emptive strike on the DPRK is under consideration within the US administration", Ju said.

The letter stressed that North Korea would be likely to retaliate if the White House were to pursue what they called a "bloody nose" strategy.

In recent years weightlifting has become the most successful sport for North Korea, which came second in the weightlifting medal count at the London 2012 Olympics and fourth in Rio in 2016.

"It's rolling the dice, because we don't know whether (Kim) will take preemptive action, we don't know how he will act in response".

As reported by Japan Times, North Korea's ruling party newspaper Rodong Sinmun wrote a furious editorial that launched a series of highly personal insults at the president.

And if the North Korean media is any indication, the country is already braced for a U.S. attack.

"It is purely a nasty perversity aimed to disturb the advance of inter-Korean relations".

The comments infuriated the regime. "I think he is more isolated than his father was".
