Now, the video game publisher and developer has released a new update for the action-RPG that provides general matchmaking fixes for the Microsoft system.

Monster Hunter World continues to be a roaring success for Capcom, with it now having shipped over 5 million units worldwide. As well as fixes for matchmaking and SOS flares, issues with the Hunting Horn have also been sorted, among other things.

A new Monster Hunter: World patch is now available on PS4 and Xbox One, featuring a number of network-focused improvements for the fastest-selling game in franchise history.

The update requires 81 MB of space on PlayStation 4, though the space required for the Xbox One version was not detailed.

Here's to hoping that Xbox One players will no longer suffer matchmaking issues.

Fixed an issue where, in rare cases, the assignment "The Encroaching Anjanath" would not appear on the quest board during online play.

The initial shockwave blast when playing a song sometimes wouldn't happen.

Monster Hunter World is full of fantastic beasts and if you want to even have a chance against the most powerful ones you'll need to have some good armor.
