Rising variety of actors surrender Woody Allen

  • Woody Allen's adoptive daughter Dylan Farrow Colin Firth wouldn't work with Allen again Time's Up movement

Woody Allen's adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow, again accused the film-maker of molesting her as a child during a tearful televised interview that was broadcast yesterday.

Hall and the actor Timothee Chalamet, who are to appear in Allen's upcoming movie A Rainy Day in NY, have announced that they will donate their salaries from the film to charities including the Time's Up movement.

The latter two performers have donated their salaries from their work in the as-yet-unreleased Allen movie A Rainy Day in NY to the Time's Up legal defense fund.

"I want to show my face and tell my story", she said in the interview, which aired Thursday. He also accused her mother Mia of "coaching" her. "Dylan's older brother Moses has said that he witnessed their mother doing exactly that - relentlessly coaching Dylan, trying to drum into her that her father was a unsafe sexual predator", the 83-year-old said.

He's claimed that Dylan was coached by her mother Mia Farrow into making false accusations, prompted by Mia Farrow's anger that Allen was having an affair with another of her adopted daughters, Soon-Yi Previn. Her co-star Timothée Chalamet also donated his fee, splitting the money between the Time's Up movement, The LGBT Center in NY, and anti-sexual assault organisation Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN). Allen called the accusation "untrue and disgraceful" at the time. "Honestly yes. I do wish that they had", she told CBS.

The Allen boycott could stem from his estranged stepdaughter, Dylan Farrow. "Dylan Farrow's two different pieces made me realize that I increased another woman's pain, and I was heartbroken by that realization".

Allen denied the allegations, as he always has. Allen released a statement to CBS News in which he again denied Farrow's allegations.

Farrow says Allen took her to a small attic crawl space, instructed her to lay down on her stomach and play with her brother's toy train, while he sat behind in the doorway and touched her private parts.

The day after the Weinstein accusation broke in full force I was shooting a day of work on Woody Allen's latest movie in NY.

Several Hollywood actors that have questioned the Allen boycott and defended the Blue Jasmine director include Alec Baldwin and Kate Winslet.

Further contradicting the assessment of Chalamet's representatives is the fact that one of Chalamet's co-stars in Allen's latest film did speak out in support of Dylan Farrow. When Mia Farrow asked why she didn't repeat what she had said earlier, "I told her that I was embarrassed". She said she was donating her salary from the film to Time's Up, the recently formed initiative to combat gender inequality in the entertainment industry.

The letter was a big deal back in 2014, when letting survivors push back and go public about incidents of alleged abuse was not commonplace.
