Trump's first-year report card: Voters say he's no genius

  • Trump must pair more respectful rhetoric with positive policies

But that doesn't mean they're in his camp against the president: Seventy-eight percent of the Breitbart readers say they're on Trump's side, and just 2 percent that they're on Bannon's. In other words, these voters picked Trump based (primarily) on what he said and did on the campaign trail, and not based on what others said or did.

The Orion Strategies poll also asked for the opinion of West Virginia voters on a number of current topics as well as national issues in the news.

Voters also gave the president a +17 rating on handling the overall ecomony, +11 on fighting terrorism and +4 on managing global trade.

About one-third of Trump voters say they read Breitbart News either sometimes or regularly.

The November 22 national poll found no politics with my turkey, please, US voters say; most dislike player protests, but many will watch. Republicans believe he is mentally stable by a margin of 89 percent to 9 percent.

As we have seen in poll after poll on his first year in office, almost 60 percent of the electorate dislikes practically everything he does, and every quality he displays. However, Kilmeade claimed "around 25 percent" of Black respondents approved of Trump.

On fighting terrorism, his grades are a wash - 39 percent give him an "A" or "B", the same percentage that gives him a "D" or "F".

President Donald Trump's approval rating has ping-ponged between a low of 35% and a high of 45% during his first year in office - the worst record of any of the most recent seven presidents, according to Gallup. Meanwhile, 36% gave him a "D" or "F".

It's only among whites without college degrees, one of Trump's most consistent and ardent bases of support, that he's viewed as a unifying figure - albeit narrowly, at 48% to 46%.

As President Donald Trump rounds out his first year in office, American voters are finding themselves divided on whether or not he is mentally stable. This disparagement has created a ripple effect with USA citizens, with only 32 percent saying they have a great deal or fair amount of trust in the media, according to recent Gallup poll numbers. (Among independents, 45 percent go with D or F). Only 33 percent give him an "A" or "B" thus far on global trade, compared to 40 percent who give him a "D" or "F".

Still, tribal division in U.S. politics is hardly Trump's creation, even if his and his administration's conduct has widened the gulf. Thank you, and it will get even (much) better!

The January 11 national poll found Dreamers should stay, American voters say 8-1; do not enforce federal pot laws, US voters say 3-1.
