Vikings quarterback Case Keenum took his share of hits and never quite found the rhythm in the passing attack he was able to establish in most of his starts this season, behind an offensive line that has shown some wear down the stretch as the injury list has increased.

Minnesota again used the latter to secure the former in a 23-10 victory over the Chicago Bears on Sunday to improve to 13-3 and lock up the conference's second seed. Week 17 is a time when most franchises play their final game then look forward to next year, but the Minnesota Vikings have already ensured a spot in the postseason. A win over Chicago would have them locked into the second seed where they would get a first-round bye while a loss puts them in danger of dropping to third and having to play on Wild Card Weekend.

Minnesota Vikings running back Latavius Murray powers in 1-yard touchdown. Two of the Vikings' longest three plays came on Chicago pass interference penalties of 25 and 27 yards.

The Bears' six first-half rushing attempts netted a total of minus-1 yard.

Here's a good still from the replay, in which zero Vikings are looking at Callahan.

The Bears simply can not keep Vikings defenders at bay, culminating in a safety of Mitchell Trubisky, who tried getting rid of the ball in the face of a relentless pass rush. On a punt return against the Vikings, the Bears pulled off the always-satisfying decoy punt return, with Tarik Cohen serving as the bait and Bryce Callahan taking it to the house by hiding near the sideline.

Bears rookie quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, playing behind a patchwork offensive line, was 20 of 36 for 176 yards and was sacked once. Fox's record in three seasons as the Bears head coach is now 14-34. Chicago's offense finally scored with 8:22 to play via a 55-yard Mike Nugent field goal.
