After pre-ordering the app, users will be notified once the app is released and it will be automatically be downlaoded on their device.

Apple has now given developers the ability to offer their apps for pre-order through the App Store.

Apple will now let users pre-order apps before they are released for download. Now the customers can easily preorder apps from the App Store and on the day of its launch can automatically get downloaded. The developers would get to see the pricing and availability section of iTunes Connect to choose from, and to "make available for pre-order", and submit an app for review. Of course, free apps are also available for pre-order as well. They won't be charged until the app downloads.

Starting today, the feature will be available for all App Store developers. For paid apps, customers will be charged before download.

Note: The release date must be at least 2 days in the future, but no more than 90 days in the future.

Removing the app isn't a big deal unless you delete it, then later decide you want to use Apple Pay Cash.

APP that grabbed headlines owing to its unique format in the very first month of its launch has been awarded in the BEST ENTERTAINMENT App category, Best SOCIAL App category and MOST POPULAR App category respectively.

Update: According to a new webpage published by Apple that summarizes the pre-order program, it also applies to macOS and tvOS apps. It'll be interesting to see how developers respond to this new feature.

Although the App Store has largely remained the same since its launch in July 2008, Apple has made a number of changes over the past year and a half.

Apple has announced the addition of a pre-order feature to the App Store.
