  • Seabelo Senatla of South Africa helped seal a superb Sevens title for his country against New Zealand in Dubai

The All Blacks Sevens side have won their first title in 21 months after defeating Argentina 38-14 in the Cape Town Sevens today.

Ahead 14-7 at half-time, the Kiwis ran in four second-half tries to seal the win.

New Zealand shocked world series champions and hosts South Africa 19-12 in the Cup semifinals after edging England 17-12 in the quarters.

New Zealand were not only swept aside 22-0 by the U.S. in their opening pool game, they needed come-from-behind wins over two of their biggest rivals to secure their spot in the title decider.

Reflecting on the team's performance, England Sevens head coach Amor praised his side's effort and attitude.

Australia played Uganda in the challenge trophy finals early thuis morning as they seek crucial series points to ensure the best possible seeding heading into the Sydney Sevens on the Australia Day long weekend next year.

And they led 7-5 at the break through Ruaridh McConnochie's try and Tom Mitchell's conversion. They had beaten U.S. 28-12 in Cup quarterfinal.

After a first-up 36-12 victory over Spain, the Aussies lost 31-14 to the U.S. and 35-12 to the Kiwis.

Star wing Seabelo Senatla was both villain and hero against Fiji the day after he became the fastest man to 200 tries in Series history‚ achieving the feat in his 35th tournament.

Against Fiji Senatla scored the winning try seconds from the end after Justin Geduld ripped the ball from a Fijian carrier.

A late try by NZ's Joe Webber, their third of the match, was enough to see them over the line in a contest where they also survived a yellow card against Joe Ravouvou.

After going ahead against the United States through a Boyd Killingworth try, the Aussies couldn't contain Carlin Isles who snared three first half tries. Conversion: Branco du Preez (1).
