  • Hulu on Switch Is Missing One Big Thing

After months of waiting, it appears that the Nintendo Switch is getting its very first video streaming app today.

"We are very proud to announce that Hulu is the first U.S. streaming entertainment service to debut on Nintendo Switch", Hulu's vice president of product Richard Irving said in his blog post yesterday. Beginning later today, Hulu subscribers will now be able to use their Nintendo Switch to stream all their favorite TV whether they're at home or on the go.

The app will be free to download and for new users there's a free trial period to take advantage of.

For more on the Nintendo Switch, keep it locked on Mammoth Gamers.

There has been plenty of notable absences on the Switch since it launched back in March, such as Nintendo's Virtual Console to mainstay media applications.

Out of the top three platforms in the US - Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu - the last of the three has always been considered an underdog.

Only a digital version of the game is being released for Switch owners. Of course, if you have a subscription to the service, all you have to do is log into the app with your credentials and you'll have the same access as you would on other devices.

Is Nintendo Switch Netflix Coming Next?

The only indication that it's coming are the mention of the app in the email to press and a now blank page on Nintendo's website. It is really shaping up to be the flawless travel companion, with the option to play games while in transit and presenting many more entertainment options once in the hotel room.

Which streaming service would you like to see pop up on Switch next?

The Switch will receive the fully-fledged Hulu app which will include the company's live TV package and on-demand subscription service.
