Russiagate: Flynn reportedly pressured to cooperate to save his moron kid's ass

06 November, 2017, 01:20 | Author: Priscilla Morrison

It seems some in Washington weren't surprised by reports signaling Trump's former national security adviser may be the next person to face charges in Mueller's prove.

News reported on Sunday the actions are a part of Mueller's probe into possible collusion between President Donald Trump's presidential campaign and the Russian government. Flynn Sr. was paid $530,000 for lobbying work benefiting Turkey, and only registered as foreign agent retroactively.

The anti-Trump media appears to have quite the connection to the investigation led by Special Counsel Bob Mueller.

Flynn's lawyer Robert Kelner declined to comment when asked if Flynn denies any collusion with Russian Federation during the 2016 election. The retired army lieutenant general was sacked in February after less than a month on the job after it was revealed he had lied to Vice President Mike Pence about the extent of his dealings and communications with Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak.

Mr Mueller's team was reportedly intending to interview more witnesses over the next week as it investigates lobbying work by Mr Flynn. They are also trying to determine if Flynn was behind a request to have the Federal Bureau of Investigation re-review a Turkish extradition request just weeks after Trump took office, and if so, if that request was made in exchange for money from the Turkish government. The report also notes that if charged, Flynn would be "the first current or former Trump administration official formally accused of criminal wrongdoing" in Mueller's probe.

They are also investigating whether he attempted to orchestrate the extradition of Fethullah Gulen from the U.S. to Turkey in exchange for millions of dollars.

Flynn worked on the campaign and his son worked closely with him and briefly worked on the Trump campaign's transition.

Last week, Mueller indicted Trump's former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, along with his former business associate, on 12 counts, including money laundering and conspiracy against the United States.
