Netflix cuts ties with Kevin Spacey

It took less than a week for two-time Oscar victor Kevin Spacey to go from admired stage, TV and film star to a pariah, under investigation by the police and fired from his Emmy-winning role in "House of Cards".

The decision comes a day after former and current "House of Cards" production staff employees came forward with allegations of sexual harassment in a CNN report. One such person included actor and filmmaker Tony Montana, who told Radar Online that Spacey once groped him, grabbing his "whole package" while at a Los Angeles bar; Spacey then followed him into a restroom.

In an interview with BuzzFeed, actor Anthony Rapp said he attended a party at Spacey's NY apartment in 1986, when he was 14.

Netflix has cut ties with actor Kevin Spacey after a series of allegations of sexual misconduct. Killing off Frank may breath new life into the show.

Though an official termination of Spacey from House of Cards has yet to be confirmed as Netflix and MRC determine the show's future, Netflix has confirmed that it will not move forward with the Gore Vidal biopic starring Spacey.

"We will continue to work with with (production company) Media Rights Captial during this hiatus time to evaluate our path forward as it relates to the show".

One crew member, who has worked on the show - which has suspended production indefinitely in light of allegations against its lead star - claimed he was regularly touched inappropriately by Spacey but didn't "feel comfortable" asking him to stop. He said, in part, that he did not remember trying to seduce 14-year-old Rapp, but that he apologized sincerely for "what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behavior".

Another man, Mexican actor Roberto Cavazos, shared a lengthy Facebook post that alleged that it was known within the acting community at the Old Vic Theater that Spacey preyed on young male actors.

The Old Vic was "not now in a position to comment on specifics", it said.

Spacey, who has been dumped by his publicist and agents at CAA, is seeking "evaluation and treatment" in the wake of the sexual abuse allegations against him. The man said: "I told him, 'I don't think I'm ok with this, I don't think I'm comfortable with this".
