  • Trump's Twitter account temporarily disappeared

President Trump responds to his Twitter account being deleted on Thursday for several minutes.

Twitter initially said the account had been "inadvertently" deactivated because of human error.

Schneier said that there was little to be done to prevent such a thing happening again.

Donald Trump's Twitter account vanished for 11 minutes on Thursday.

People have been calling on Twitter to suspend Trump's account for a long while, the reasons for which vary but include claims of terms violations and bullying. And he has used Twitter in office like no president before him (and maybe no president who comes after him will).

"We are conducting a full internal review", it added. Many Twitter users sent out screenshots of the temporarily nonexistent page.

In June, Trump tweeted remarks aimed at MSNBC's "Morning Joe" hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski: "I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don't watch anymore)".

After investigating the incident, Twitter administration figured out exactly what happened.

Twitter temporarily suspended the account of actress Rose McGowan in October after she tweeted about sexual harassment allegations made against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein. As for Trump, he's back to tweeting and hasn't missed a beat since the account went down.

"This is real collusion and dishonesty", he said in a second tweet.

The White House later denied this was a declaration of war, but such tweets have been seen by some unsafe in the context of North Korea's increasing nuclear capabilities. But he insists on tweeting - spelling errors included - as a weapon against "fake news". Many said that the tweet violated Twitter's policies against violent threats and targeted abuse.
