Is Jared Kushner next to be indicted in Russian Federation investigation?

04 November, 2017, 00:31 | Author: Priscilla Morrison
  • President Donald J. Trump is the 45th President of the United States

Kushner voluntarily turned over documents he had from the campaign and the transition, and these related to any contacts with Russian Federation. There is a high chance of potential arrests after the grand federal jury approving its first ever charges in the controversial Russian Federation investigation.

With the Russian Federation investigation led by special counsel delivering indictments this week, Trump has blamed Kushner for such decisions as forcing Michael Flynn out of his job as White House national security adviser and firing James Comey as FBI director.

There continues to be widespread speculation that Trump might decide to fire Mueller and this act could ultimately lead to constitutional chaos and put the Congress Republican leaders in a risky political position.

According to reports, Mr. Muller's investigators have begun interviewing witnesses about Mr. Kushner's role in last May's firing of FBI Director James Comey, which rocked Washington.

When Roger Stone recently told Trump that Kushner was giving him bad political advice, Trump agreed, according to someone familiar with the conversation.

CNN's report came one day after Vanity Fair reported that Trump was becoming frustrated with Kushner. "I'm only saying publicly what everyone says behind the scenes at Fox News, in conservative media, and the Senate and Congress".

"Here's what Manafort's indictment tells me: Mueller is going to go over every financial dealing of Jared Kushner and the Trump Organization", said former Trump campaign aide Sam Nunberg. That meeting was also attended by then-campaign chairman Paul Manafort, who was indicted on 12 felony counts as a part of Mueller's probe.

Former White House staff members-whether encamped at Breitbart News or anywhere else-are constrained by 18 USC 207, which governs "restrictions on former officers, employees, and elected officials of the executive and legislative branches". Lacking any real options, Trump has placed much of the blame on son-in-law Jared Kushner.

As the legal noose around the Trump campaign tightens, tensions are reportedly soaring in the West Wing between the president and his son-in-law/top adviser. On January 9, 2017, Kushner was named as a senior White House advisor.

That knowledge has not held up in the past; members of Trump's administration have also made that claim, incorrectly, about the President himself.
