Dwyane Wade speaks his mind about Cavs' struggles; Lue having sleepless nights

  • Dwyane Wade Opens Up About Problems That Existed Internally With 2013-14 Miami Heat

The Cleveland Cavaliers (3-5) are now struggling out of the gate but will look to turn it around this Friday against the Washington Wizards (4-3) on a game that will be televised on ESPN. That's how I'd describe numerous Cavs, at least until IN embarrassed them Wednesday. Thompson accepted a reserve role this year but had returned to the starting lineup, averaging 4.4 points and 6.1 rebounds in eight games (five starts).

Having lost to five teams they were expected to beat, the Wine and Gold face arguably their toughest test of the season tonight as they travel to the nation's capital to face the Washington Wizards. The reigning Eastern Conference champions are now in the midst of a four-game losing streak and look old and lethargic. He started all 21 postseason games for the Cavs in their championship season of 2015-16.

"I think it makes us better", Lue said. "I think if you look at previous year, people might say they did or didn't, but I think they didn't want the number one season for a reason because we would have played them in the second round".

Both losses were due to the Wizards not playing any type of defense, and allowing those two teams to get wide open shots, and uncontested drives to the basket. "That's always the challenging thing. I've got confidence in myself and my teammates and what we can bring to our team and what we can accomplish". When you've done it three straight years, or some guys two straight years, then complacency can sometimes creep in, or the short summers or things of that nature, or you feel like you can turn it on when you want to.

Wall knows that the last few games hasn't been his best, so as the leader he knows what he has to do to get this team back on track. We still have a 30-point scorer, All-Star point guard that's coming soon. Wade, Jae Crowder, Derrick Rose and Jeff Green play heavy minutes now, and Isaiah Thomas will start once he returns from a hip injury.

The fact that Beal has such confidence in his team is a very good sign.
