  • Sony Xperia R1 R1 Plus

Sony Xperia R1 and R1 Plus all most similar in specs sheet and only differ in terms of storage option.

Sony Xperia R1 Plus features a 13MP Exmor Sony sensor at the back with auto-focus and LED Flash. Both the devices will be available starting November 10 in black and silver colour options. In a country like India however you have to bring out smartphones for every price bracket and that is what Sony has done. Both devices will ship with Android Nougat out of the box, with a planned upgrade to Android Oreo. Both the phones support expandable storage of up to 128GB via micro-SD card.

The Xperia R1 Plus is nearly identical to the Xperia R1 down to the 146 x 73.2 x 8.8mm measurement and 154-gram weight. Talking about its front camera, the Xperia R1 includes an 8-megapixel camera with 76-degree wide-angle lens for capturing selfies and making video calls. On the front we have an 8MP camera with beauty mode and face detection. These phones are packed with 2620mAh built-in battery. These come powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Octa-Core SoC coupled with 2GB or 3GB of RAM, depending upon which model you buy. Both the smartphone feature Sony's loop surface design with a 2.5D curved glass. The best part is Sony has gone with a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer purposes, and yes, they both have a 3.5mm headphone jack as well. The Sony Xperia R1 has a 13MP camera on the rear with LED flash and it is made out of Sony Exmor sensor. There is also an 8 megapixels front camera with the same Predictive Hybrid Autofocus.

These are dual-SIM 4G VoLTE smartphones with dedicated dual Nano-SIM slots along with a microSD expansion slot. Both the smartphones also support Uplink Data Compression (UDC) that allows users to download web pages up to 50 percent faster for its improved data transmission technology.
