Before 2017, England had not reached a World Cup final of any type since 1966. "We are on to the final", he said. They did force England to misplace a few balls in risky positions but Lincoln and his teammates could not quite capitalise which is what Liverpool starlet Rhian Brewster did when he was presented with a chance in the tenth minute.

Rhian Brewster was on a high after scoring a hat-trick in the quarter-finals against the United States of America and remarkably repeated the feat in Kolkata.

Spain ended Mali's hopes of back-to-back finals with a 3-1 win in the other semifinal, paving the way for Saturday's showdown against England.

Bewster would give England the lead just before half-time before making it 3-1 in the 76th minute.

African champions' Mali's lone goal came through Lassana N'Diaye in the 74th minute. The final would be played on October 28 at 2000 hours (IST) and three times winners Brazil will fight out for third place versus African side Mali on the same pitch at 1700 hours. By virtue of this win, Spain has entered the final of the Federation Internationale de Football Association U-17 World Cup for the fourth time.

Hudson-Odoi clipped the ball across the penalty area from the left, and Brewster turned it goalwards from point-blank range.

Earlier, the last-four clash between England and Brazil was scheduled to be held at the Guwahati Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium.

Brazil started the game on the front foot but fell behind in the 10th minute as Callum Hudson-Odoi chipped over the defence for Brewster to fire in at the second attempt. Foden did the spadework from the right of the box, releasing to Sessegnon, who cut back and Brewster finished off to score his sixth goal of the tourney.

Although he didn't provide the assist for Brewster's third and final goal, he was the architect of the move, turning out of a tight spot with a Cruyff turn before driving upfield and laying a perfectly weighted pass into Emile Smith Rowe to deliver the assist.
