"One more Round!" Stallone wrote.

After previously teasing his script for the follow-up to the 2015 film, which earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, Stallone has announced he's going to direct the eighth installment in the Rocky franchise. It was a spinoff of the original Rockyseries, with an aged Balboa teaching Adonis Creed (the son of his former rival/friend Apollo), played by Jordan. Stallone also shared a photograph of himself standing with Michael.

Though the muscly Italian American has become most recognisable as the action hero star of Rocky, Rambo and, more recently, The Expendables, Stallone is an experienced director with eight films under his belt since 1978's Paradise Alley. He's confirmed on his Instagram account that he'll be helming the new film, rather than Ryan Coogler, who scored such a success with the first Creed. The star has now revealed who will direct Creed 2-himself. Stallone won a Golden Globe for the role.

Of course, we can't help but notice something missing from Sylvester Stallone's announcement regarding Creed 2.

Do you think Creed 2 will be as good as Creed? .

With the project still a few months away from the start of production, it's understandable that we don't know too much about Creed 2 just yet.
