Coroner contradicts parents' claim that Otto Warmbier was tortured in North Korea

The american student Otto Warmbier, who died in June a week after his repatriation to North Korea in a coma, did not show obvious signs of torture, said Wednesday a medical examiner in Ohio. Their claims were backed by President Trump who said yesterday: "Otto was tortured beyond belief by North Korea".

The coroner and a September 11th report by her office cited complications of chronic deficiency of oxygen and blood supply to the brain in Warmbier's death.

The Hamilton County Coroner's examination showed multiple small scars on Warmbier's body that had healed, as well as a scar where a tracheotomy tube was inserted, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.

North Korean officials said the University of Virginia student was sentenced for attempting to steal a propaganda poster from a hotel while touring the country in January 2016.

A person believed to be Otto Warmbier is transferred from a medical transport airplane to an awaiting ambulance at Lunken Airport in Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S., June 13, 2017.

"The fact that he has anoxic encephalitis or brain damage caused by the lack of oxygen to the brain, we don't know what the root cause of that is". "They're terrorists. They kidnapped Otto". "We were surprised at (the parents') statement".

"We don't have enough information about what happened to Otto at that initial insult to draw any concrete conclusions" about his death, Sammarco said.

The report stated Warmbier's body was "well-developed, well-nourished" and had no signs of torture. He was blind. He was deaf.

As the Warmbier's opened up for the first time since their son's death, Neack believes several other USA families are watching closely.

Speaking of the moment they were renunited with their son, Cindy Warmbier said: "We thought he was in a coma, but you couldn't call it a coma".

The coroner's report, however, indicated Warmbier's teeth were "natural and in good fix".

In an interview with "Fox & Friends" on Tuesday morning, they shared disturbing details from their reunion with their son.

"There was no evidence of trauma to the teeth", said Sammarco.

After his death, Warmbier's parents declined an autopsy.

"Superb interview [in the show] Fox & Friends, the parents of Otto Warmbier: 1994-2017".

Regardless of whether or not North Korea tortured Warmbier, he would nearly certainly still be alive had North Korea not detained him on wild charges.

Sammarco said an autopsy would have provided very few answers about the cause and manner of his death.

"The fact that the U.S.is employing even a dead person for the conspiracy campaign to fuel the global atmosphere of putting pressure on (North Korea) shows how vile and inveterate the hostility of the USA policy-makers towards (North Korea) is", the unidentified spokesman said in a statement.
