  • Aston Martin launches Project Neptune submarine

Vacuum cleaner maker Dyson is making cars, Google is making cars, Facebook wants to have something to do with cars, cars must all be electric by 2040 in the United Kingdom; while all these developments continue, Aston Martin has decided that it's making a submarine.

28 September 2017, Monaco: Aston Martin is proud to announce a creative collaboration with Triton Submarines LLC, the acclaimed manufacturer of state-of-the-art submersibles.

British sports auto manufacturer Aston Martin has revealed its new submarine project in Monaco.

Ultra-rich Aston Martin fans are getting another super exclusive vehicle to sink money into.

This week, the company announced a new design for a luxury submersible vehicle it's now calling Project Neptune.

The submersible has been put together in collaborating with Trident Submarines, a Florida-based firm which builds the underwater craft for researchers, explorers and superyacht owners. It is, says Reichman; "defined by its sleek, elegant exterior".

As far as the performance is concerned, the submarine can go down to 500 meters and run for 12 hours, that is if Aston Martin retains the original specs of the Triton sub.

It's not the first time Aston Martin has taken to the water. So we'll understand if your reaction to news that Aston Martin is working on a submarine is to fear that the British sports-car maker has jumped the shark and is now riding it in freefall toward a volcano. "We have used forms and proportions that express the same devotion to design, engineering and beauty that shape our cars, such as the Aston Martin Valkyrie hypercar project", he said.
