"Pakistan under the cover of bullets is trying to push infiltrators on our side but our jawans are keeping vigil and will not allow them to succeed in their nefarious design", said the BSF officer.

The jawan, identified as identified as Captain Brijendra Bahadur Singh, was succumbed to his injuries. BSF troops guarding the border, retaliated the firing and gave a befitting reply while on civilian was also injured.

Last year, Indian and Pakistani soldiers engaged in some of the worst fighting along the Line of Control since the two nations agreed to the cease-fire accord.

This is the fifth ceasefire violation by Pakistan in six days, according to PTI.
