Renault reveals all new Dacia Duster

  • Renault Captur was spied testing a few months ago in India and now its debut has officially been announced

The new distinctive grille has an ingratiated inlay with the headlights positioned at the car's extreme corners and makes the model appear wider.

The second generation Renault Duster has been revealed officially. The huge satin-chrome-finish skid plate reinforces the Duster's rugged image, and is scratch-resistant. Ahead of a full debut scheduled to take place at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the Renault-owned budged brand from Romania has made a decision to publish revealing images of its new-for-2018 pocket-friendly SUV.

The higher side belt line impresses strength and occupant protection.

Inside, Dacia claims the model will come with new equipment and a "host of other new features", which are set to be revealed in Frankfurt.

"There's also some new 17" alloys for more expensive models and skid plates to make it look more purposeful.

Out back, the haunches are decidedly stronger, and the horizontal lines, coupled with taillights positioned at the crossover's extremities, heighten the car's stance. All-new 2017 Duster will be available in brand-new body colour, Atacama Orange. The aim of the designers was to give the vehicle a more robust look, so there are more pronounced folds in the metal on the bonnet, and extra black trim along the sides of the auto and behind the front wheels. The model now gets a Dacia's typical lighting theme with four red stacked squares, for a funky look. The wide myriad of offerings includes a Duster that can function optimally in extreme cold in Russian Federation, a flex-fuel model for Brazil, and RHD from Renault India. Renault India could showcase the all-new Duster at the 2018 Auto Expo next February while the launch is likely towards the end of the year or sometime in 2019.

More than one million Dusters have been sold worldwide since the original's launch in 2010 and the latest offering comes with all-new styling.

Engines for the updated Duster are expected to once again include a 1.2-litre petrol unit and 1.5-litre diesel.
