  • No confrontation between Indian, Chinese troops in Arunachal Pradesh

"Otherwise, under India's logic, if the Pakistani government requests, a third country's Army can enter the area disputed by India and Pakistan, including India-controlled Kashmir", the article on the Chinese paper said.

The latest incident comes amid an ongoing dispute between the two sides over a strategic Himalayan plateau thousands of kilometres away where hundreds of Indian and Chinese soldiers have been facing off against each other for more than two months.

Amid a border row, a customary Border Personnel Meeting held between India and China on India's Independence Day is unlikely as Beijing has not responded to communications from New Delhi. Later when retreating Chinese soldiers hurled stones on them, the Indian army soldiers retaliated. Several soldiers on both sides have sustained injuries, reports said.

IT and Law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad reportedly held a top-level meeting recently to assess the situation with regard to Chinese engagement in India's electronics and IT sector.

The US department also stated, we want India, China to have conversations because we have the relationship between both governments.

"Transgressions occur due to differing perceptions between India and China about where the LAC actually lies, right from eastern Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh".

"The Chinese side is committed to peace and tranquillity of the China-India border", she said.

Chinese troops first tried to infiltrate into the Indian territory through the Finger Four area, a region that has been a bone of contention between India and China as both claim it to be a part of their territory.

Chinese companies have now nearly become the backbone to India's massive requirement in electronics manufacturing with the current valuation of tech imports from China sitting at approximately Dollars 22 billion as per a recent study by Confederation of Indian Industries.

New Delhi and Beijing have been engaged in the standoff in the Doklam area near the Bhutan tri-junction since June after a Chinese Army's construction party attempted to build a road.
