Pochettino accepts Danny Rose's apology, says he has a future at Tottenham

"If you remember five years ago, people said, 'Who is Pochettino?' I'm sure they used Chrome or Google or Yahoo to find out".

Rose earns £65,000 per week after penning a new contract in September 2016, although it seems he's already seeking a boost on those terms and told The Sun (h/t the Daily Mail's Sami Mokbel): "I know my worth and I will make sure I get what I am worth".

"None of us players wanted that to happen and we're determined for it to not happen again", said Davies, after Saturday's 2-0 win over Juventus.

The transfer window closes on August 31 and Pochettino looks to settle Tottenham fans' concerns with his insistence that the club has a trend of spending late in the month.

The 21-year-old midfielder is back to full fitness and could be in line to start for Pochettino's men alongside Mousa Dembele in midfield with Victor Wanyama unlikely to feature after missing all of pre-season through injury. So now Mauricio Pochettino's side must get on with the show and adapt their game plan to suit the size of their temporary home ground.

So many players to choose from but the loan signing of Joe Hart is huge, there were significant deficiencies at the back past year some of those at least should be sured up by the England goalkeeper. I rate him really highly - he was a brilliant component in the team and gave Conte adaptability. Tottenham are certainly one of them.

A good season's end: Champions League qualification is the bare minimum. "That is the challenge for us".

Tottenham Hotspur have been the most consistent team in the Premier League over the last two seasons.

However, next season Spurs will have a huge job on their hands to replicate their success of recent years with many of their rivals splashing out to strengthen their squads, whereas Spurs are yet to bring in any new players. Indeed, combining the last two campaigns points totals together puts Spurs on the top of the pile.

That bad run has many fans shuddering with fear ahead of the new campaign, and manager Pochettino has conceded the move could present the team with their biggest test this term. Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen were both excellent last season.

Pochettino raised more than a few eyebrows with his revelation that Tottenham may add three or four players before the transfer window slams shut.

Under chairman Daniel Levy, Spurs have tended to sign young players with potential, including Rose himself in 2007, or foreign players untested in English football - an approach supported by Pochettino.
