  • Quantasia Sharpton, 21 (pictured), is suing Usher for reportedly having sex with her and not telling her he had herpes

Update: On Monday, one of the accusers, Quantasia Sharpton, spoke at a press conference about her alleged encounter with Usher following a concert, alongside lawyer Lisa Bloom.

One of the clients is 21-year-old Quantisia Sharpton, who said she met Usher at a concert she attended for her 19th birthday.

Later, she says a security guard came up to her and asked for her number because Usher was "interested in her".

Usher is being sued by three people who accuse the singer of failing to tell them he had herpes before engaging in sexual intercourse. "He never warned me about any STDs, it was just after my 19th birthday", she said at the press conference.

"I feel like my rights were violated", she said, before revealing he real reason she chose to join the lawsuit against Usher.

The original articles fromRadar Online (about Usher settling a $1 million herpes related lawsuit in 2012) and TMZ (about Usher facing a $20 million lawsuit from another woman) have not held up well to further scrutiny.

Represented by celebrity attorney Lisa Bloom, two other people are listed in Sharpton's lawsuit against Usher.

"At least one of my clients has tested positive - and alleges that it was Mr Raymond who transmitted it, '"she said".

One of three people accusing the eight-time Grammy award-winner of exposing them to herpes spoke out during a press conference in NY on Monday.

"When I first heard he had herpes, I couldn't believe it ..."

Further details of the lawsuit brought against Usher have been revealed, with a trio alleging they were left suffering "stress, depression and anxiety" over his failure to disclose an alleged herpes diagnosis.

Despite its taboo status, herpes is common in the U.S. According to the CDC, about one in six Americans between the ages of 14 and 49 have the virus.

Usher "has not publicly denied these claims", the suit reads, leading the plaintiffs to believe Usher "has the virus and that he exposed them to it". Although I am negative, I was upset by the reports because I would have never consented if I would have known.

In 2012, Usher settled a case with another woman who claimed he had infected her. Bloom cited the state's law requires a person to disclose if they have a sexually transmitted disease with a partner before intercourse.

The Centres for Disease Control and Preventions says Genital herpes is common in the United States. The two eventually took the conversation up to his hotel room.
