In the incident, an army soldier received a sniffer shot in his head and has been airlifted to army's 92 base hospital Badamibagh, Srinagar for treatment.

A woman was killed while another sustained injuries when Indian security forces opened fire on the civilian population living along the Line of Control (LoC), the military's media wing alleged Monday.

Pakistan and India had declared ceasefire in 2003 along the LoC, which divide both nuclear rivals in Kashmir. He also urged Indian government to instruct its troops to respect the ceasefire, in letter and spirit and maintain peace on the LoC.

It said despite calls for restraint, India continues to indulge in ceasefire violations.




He said that Pakistani forces violated the ceasefire in the Baba Khori belt of Naushera sector.

According to the statement, unprovoked Indian firing in the area between Khuiratta and Kerala sector killed a 35-year-old woman Muneera Bibi, while Fareena Bibi was injured.

Pakistan's Foreign Office summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner on Tuesday over ceasefire violations by Indian forces along the Line of Control (LoC), ARY News reported.
