  • Govt to fulfil unfinished agenda of former PM Nawaz Sharif Marriyum

It has been requested in the reference, filed by Raja Basharat of Muslim League Lawyers Forum with Imran Khan and Aisha Gulalai as respondents, that Khan be disqualified under Section 99 (1)(f) of the ROPA and a by-election for NA-56 be announced.

Khan himself has refrained from commenting on the matter directly and only touched upon it through a series of recent tweets.

He said Imran Khan overlooked corruption in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa because it was being committed by his own party leaders.

After the shocking revelations of former PTI member and MNA Ayesha Gulalai, Reham Khan's name is once again starting to come up in media talks by PML-N leaders.

Earlier, PTI central executive committee member and MPA Naeema Naaz warned that the party's women wing would file a defamation case against Ms Gulalai if she didn't publicly apologise for diatribe against the party chief within a week.

"I never met Gulalai, it's untrue that I met her and convinced her".

She said Gulalai belonged to the tribal regions and therefore, she didn't deserve to contest elections from Peshawar on the PTI ticket.

However, Mir called for an inquiry into the alleged obscene messages of Imran Khan to Gulalai.

The 64-year-old cricketer-turned-politician faced heavy criticism and pressure to quit after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmaker Ayesha Gulalai in a televised press conference on Wednesday said he has been sending "inappropriate and explicit messages" to her and other women workers of the party.
